Being a celebrant means that I have the great privilege of bearing witness to some of the most precious and solemn moments in your life. Our lives are a tapestry of our experiences and I have been very fortunate in my work life to experience many places in the world, with my most recent experience 14 years living and working in Bali, running high end Spa and Retreats. The Balinese incorporate ceremony into every part of their life which was incredible to experience. The experience cemented my belief that ceremonies are significant in our lives to mark an occasion.

There are many occasions to celebrate, a birth, a marriage, a passing and more all are the fabric of our lives and lives celebrated are lives recognised.
I published a book on my experience in Bali. But it was time to come home family called, my son and the rest of my family are all in Western Australia. So in 2018, I returned. The experience of returning meant that I looked at Western Australia with fresh eyes. We don’t need to be overseas to experience the wonder of our surroundings. Coming home has given me a huge appreciation of the beauty, diversity and majesty of our incredible state and the strength and resilience of its people.
